Use Coffee Grounds as a Degreaser:
If you’re a coffee drinker, then you may be pleased to know that there is actually more than one purpose for your beloved caffeine drink. Coffee is a great way to get rid of any grease stains that have been left in places such as your bathtub. Simply rub the coffee ground against the grease and rinse off afterwards with warm water.
Toothpaste Will Remove Small Scratches:
There is nothing worse than realising a beloved piece of furniture has been scratched. And before you assume the worst and think that this piece of furniture is now redundant, there is a way to fix this- toothpaste! Toothpaste is a great way to get any scratch marks off your furniture. Simple add a small amount of toothpaste to the scratch and rub in a circular motion until the paste buffs out- and then wipe the remaining bits off with toothpaste.
Ice Cubes for Candle Wax:
Having lit candles in your home is a great way to make the space feel that little more homely. However, when you end up spilling the candle wax on your furniture- this can be a disaster. By scraping it off, you can cause more damage to your furniture, so instead use ice cubes! Let the ice sit on the wax for a few minutes, and when it has hardened, you can pick up the wax easily to remove it.
Wrap a Towel in Tongs to Clean Your Blinds:
Cleaning our blinds is one of the most challenging parts of the house to clean. It’s a tricky spot to clean- however there is a hack for it. Simply wrap a pair of tongs in a towel and use these to seamlessly glide between the blinds and clean all the bits of dust you are having a hard time reaching.
Use Alka-Seltzer Tablet to Clean Pans:
Sometimes, you can have a hard time cleaning pans- especially if you have been frying meat such as steak. To get rid of the grease and leftover gristle in the pan, simply add an Alka-Seltzer pan. Let the tablet sit for around 15 minutes, and then wipe it away with a damp cloth. This way, any left-over bits of dirt, grease or gristle should lift off the pan with ease.
Hang a Painting Over Your Alarm:
If you have a house alarm that is rather unsightly, then hang a painting over it or piece of artwork to conceal it. Not only will this look aesthetically better, but it will also conceal where your alarm is for those trying to get into your property.
